Will Muschamp's Job Posted On Craigslist
« on: October 23, 2014, 09:39:38 AM »
I thought this was a hoax but it's not.... :lmao:

There are varying degrees of being a coach on a hot seat. The first, tamest degree is grumbling on message boards from frustrated fans who just don't feel you're the right person for the job. That eventually morphs into the second degree, when somebody takes to your Wikipedia page to say that you're no longer employed, or that you suck.

Then it ends with somebody putting an ad up for your job on Craigslist. This is where Florida's Will Muschamp currently finds himself.

You can go ahead and click that photo to see it full-size if you like. If you'd prefer the quick recap, it's actually pretty straight-forward. Though I don't think that the "ability to win games against glorified high schools and junior colleges, aka 'cupcakes', especially when the contest is held on the university's own campus" would actually show up on Jeremy Foley's checklist when considering candidates. He'd probably consider that to be a given.

I also thought the requirements that you not be a graduate of the University of Georgia, or that you cannot have the last name Zook were nice touches.

I've done neither, so maybe I'll apply.

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.

As a result we are coming to you directly for your financial support>
