Thon Maker, the No. 1 Class of 2016 recruit in the world, is on the move again

The world's most coveted basketball recruit is changing uniforms and possibly countries.

Seven-foot phenom Thon Maker,'s No. 1 ranked Class of 2016 prospect, has withdrawn from Martinsville (Va.) Carlisle School along with his younger brother Matur Maker, an elite sophomore. The Sudanese refugees are now considering a transfer to a basketball powerhouse in either North Carolina or Canada, their guardian Edward Smith told multiple media outlets in a prepared statement.

“After an excellent academic year and state championship season at the Carlisle School, followed by a great AAU season on the Adidas circuit with Team Loaded VA, the common theme for Thon and Matur to optimize their potential has been core strength development with additional muscle gain.”

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.

As a result we are coming to you directly for your financial support.
