The SEC is FAN-tastic!  And this wasn't some exhibition meet either...I saw the Alabama gymnasts in the background....and props to the LSU Bengal Tiger Nation for recognizing greatness in athleticism and not having the stereotypical barriers that exist and is rampant throughout competitive gymnastics today.

Alum and board............while your humble poster was ALSO impressed with this young lady's routine, I DO wonder how her "athleticism" might be viewed when/if she enters international competition.  I'm certainly no expert, but have seen quite a bit of Olympics and other international ladies gymnastics competition where a young woman is applauded for her "grace and elegance" on the floor routine.

Your thoughts?

Ashley miles use to do this too. Much easier in college competitions because there is a common culture there. No way in hell this out scores ballet-style shows to Eastern European judges in another area though.

Technically this girl is great though. Much better than miles.

Hopefully the globilization has occurred and folks are now growing more accustomed to the next generation of athletes. They won't hold it against her like they did Dominique Dawes and Surya Bonaly (though she was a skater).

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.
