The incident surrounding the death of Florida A&M University's drum major has brought unwanted publicity to the Famous "Marching 100" Rattler band. FAMU, which is well known for their size, dance routine, and blended sound; is now in the hot seat, after the death of one of their drum majors shortly after classic game between Florida A&M University Rattlers and Bethune Cookman College Wildcats. With the family suing the university and bringing in higher authorities, along with the firing of the band director and student protests, which is in favor of the band director continuing his duties, some only can wonder is this the end of one of the most powerful, famous, and notorious marching band. From some outlets, the university has suspended practices and is not allowing the band to meet until the investigation is complete. This measure has brought students out who are challenging the university officials and feel that the band should carry on until the investigation is complete. In all, will this take away from their notoriety or is this just a bump in the road?

I agree with the students because there are several possible causes of death including, but not limited to drugs and alcohol which could have caused a heat stroke.

Common symptoms and signs of heat stroke include:

nausea,
vomiting,
fatigue,
weakness,
headache,
muscle cramps and aches, and
dizziness.

high body temperature,
the absence of sweating, with hot red or flushed dry skin,
rapid pulse,
difficulty breathing,
strange behavior,
hallucinations,
confusion,
agitation,
disorientation,
seizure, and/or
coma.

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.
