That's why I've waited as opposed to going with the iPhone 4 when Verizon first came out with them.

It will not be an LTE phone (Thunderbolt-ish)  because the LTE chips are not up to Apple's standards. They are too big and use too much battery. It could be a while before Apple perfects a small LTE chip for the iPhone. One thing Apple will not do is bring a big bulky phone to market. The Thunderbolt is a freaking shoe box, by phone standards.
