VISITING TUSKEGEE
« on: April 16, 2011, 05:30:48 PM »
I have wanted to visit the historic Tuskegee University for some time now.  I am flying into Atlanta next month on my way to North Carolina and have decided to take a day to drive down to Tuskegee, Alabama to visit the campus and local area.  School will be out so I know there will not be much action but are there any must sees while I’m there?

Nova, why didn't you just tell him to see the whole campus?

The very first time I visited Tuskegee was in March (or April) of 1990. I went to The Booker T Washington home and the Carver Museum. I think they're both must-sees. When I took my mother there in 2006, we went to those sites plus the new site at Moton Field...........................which was in a trailer at the time.
I am now on Facebook! Come check me out...

ag,

I insist that you stop telling the truth ... Sneakers are probably better. If it's hot, your feet start sweating and sliding in sandals. Also, beware of these:

I bought a pair of trail running shoes especially for Tuskegee last year....if you want to see a funny sight, post up on the hill at a homecoming game and wait for a young (or not so young) female to slip in some 5 inch heels... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
