hang on to your hat - obama to give interview on fox news
« on: January 07, 2011, 06:40:16 AM »
full story

Washington --

President Barack Obama will sit for an interview with Fox News Channel host Bill O'Reilly on Super Bowl Sunday.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest says it's in keeping with the president's custom of granting a pre-game interview to the network that is broadcasting the Super Bowl. Last year, it was with Katie Couric on CBS.

The White House clashed openly with Fox in the first year of Obama's administration, deriding it as aligned with the Republican Party. More recently tensions have subsided and Obama had a sit-down with Fox anchor Bret Baier last March.

Good to hear about this interview. Obama never likes to have tough questions ask of him or his policies. I believe this will be his second time on his show.

Oh yeah, this is the president that took on the entire Republican Caucus of the House of Representatives back in January 2010.

Remember:

Obama takes tough questions from House GOP

January 29, 2010

President Obama and House GOP leaders promised greater efforts to step back from the partisan brink Friday, acknowledging that Washington's toxic political climate has made it increasingly tough to tackle major problems.

The pledge was immediately called into question, however, as the two parties repeatedly expressed sharply differing viewpoints during a rare meeting at a House Republican retreat in Baltimore.

Obama accepted an invitation from House GOP leaders to address their caucus. His speech Friday was followed by an often pointed question-and-answer session.

Obama talks to House Republicans in Baltimore in rare, televised debate

BALTIMORE -- President Obama offered a muscular defense of his first year in office Friday in the most hostile of territories -- a gathering of House Republicans, who engaged him in a pointed debate that had moments of both tense drama and bipartisan comity over the stark policy differences that separate the two sides.

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.
