merry christmas from a republican
« on: December 20, 2010, 06:45:44 AM »
To All My Democrat Friends,

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2011, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the
Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

To All My Republican Friends,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Fayetteville State by choice. Bronco by the Grace of GOD.

That's the kind question I would expect to come from the mouth of a atheist or follower of Satan. It's a question that Satan tested Jesus and other true believers of the one true God with.

If you expected the question then why not answer it?

Why did jesus give you, as the christian holy text calls it, the curse of ham?

Merry Christmas and happy New Year!!!
The curse was not on Ham, but it was on Cannan, Noah's grandson, and it was fulfilled in the Bible. The so called curse on Ham, and the identification of the races based upon this is nothing more than an Enlightenment interpretation of  the Bible. It was a justification for the Age of Exploitation of the people of color worldwide by the colonizers. The Bible is an Afro-Asian religious book. The Enlightenment is the main cause of erroneous Biblical and theological interpretation and the dividing of the world into four races, African/Black, Asian, Native American, and White, with Whites being "the supposedly superior elect and "human" out of the so called tables of races. Race is a social construct. It is not biological. Ethnicity is based upon culture, context, linguistics, and social location. Jesus never mentioned the supposedly curse upon Ham. The curse had already been fulfilled in the Old Testament. This passage and others were used by European imperialists to justify the genocide of the indigenous people of North, Central, and upper South America, the enslavement of those of African descent, and the marginalization and colonization of people of color worldwide. A careful read of the Bible and a real good map will show that the people in the Bible did not have blonde hair and blue eyes. They were people of color. Yes, Christmas as celebrated today on the 25th of December is based upon the Roman Pagan Holiday of the Festival of Saturnalia. Emperor Constantine applied pagan holidays to the festivals that were of religious  significance to the early church that was known as "The Way." Christianity comes from the Greek word cristos and sometimes seen in writing as crestos when interpreted into the King's English. This was done due to writing of the time that identified Yeshua (Jesus), (Iesous in Greek), as the malefactor and trouble maker in Roman and Greek Literature. Constantine recognized "Christianity" and co-opted it after he saw that armies that had the chi rho symbol on their shields handily defeated their enemies. It was a military and political move and not one of a change of heart and conversion solely. Jesus and his Disciples spoke Aramaic. The writers of the gospels spoke and wrote Aramaic and Greek. Many were versed in Latin. Greek was the common language of most citizens within the Roman Empire. Jesus did not give anyone the curse of Ham. That was a misinterpretation given by one group of people that were bent on conquering and subduing the entire known and unknown world for financial gain, gold, greed, and glory. The Bible only mentions of what city, family, tribe, and or nation a  person is from. There is never any specific identification of "races." The term "Jew" is a transliteration error of the tribe of Judah and when Judah in its original Hebrew dialect is spoken incorrectly "Judah" becomes "Jew." I will not go into that. Acts 2 and The Pentecost shattered anyone's misconception about a table of races and exclusion. There is a marked difference between "history" and "HIStory."

How is the bible an "afro-asian" book when it was not written in an african language?

That jew Moses getting his freak on with some ethiopian trash of a woman(because no true ethiopian woman would be caught dead with a jew) dosent make the bible african.

Afro-Asian refers to the geographical location of the Biblical events. Jew is a term that comes up later as stated from the transliteration of Judah. A careful analysis of the language that we are conversing in and most languages are based upon African Dialects, especially Hebrew. You are applying your 21st Century logic to the animosity between Ethiopians and Jews of Modernity. This is the result of colonization and selective interpretation of history. I never said that the Bible was African. Afro-Asian is the locale of the Biblical events. Any real good map will depict that. There seems to be a sense of hostility and superiority of Ethiopian versus Jew. The facts are what they are, and Jesus did not give the curse of Ham to anyone. and if you are so bent on the Bible being an European work of literature, the father of theology, Augustine of Hippo, was an African, and his work set the standard of and tone for theological discourse until the day. The post was for enlightenment and knowledge. Many of the early church fathers were African. Septimius Severus and his sons, who were Roman Emperors were African. The cosmopolitan world of the Romans was not so caught up in race. They key was whether you were a Roman citizen or not.
