Millsboro woman charged with rape of boy

 A 30-year-old Millsboro woman has been arrested for allegedly engaging in sex with a 14-year-old boy.

The woman, Sunday L. Mifflin, was charged Wednesday with one count of third-degree rape and sexual solicitation of a child under 18 to engage in a prohibited sexual act, said Millsboro Police Chief John Murphy II.


An investigation into the allegation revealed that Mifflin developed a friendship with the boy that became sexual last month.


During the course of the relationship, Mifflin allegedly had “inappropriate sexual contact” with the victim in her home, Murphy said.


The woman also sent the boy explicit messages on his phone and on the Internet.


Police executed a warrant at Mifflin’s home and seized her computer and cell phone, Murphy said.


She is jailed after failing to post $12,000 bail.

Must be in the air. A 36 y/o was charged with raping two 14 y/o boys yesterday, here in Clarksville.

IDK, I don't think it is the same as a man raping a girl. 

The concern here is the young man's age. He is a minor. It is rape because he is too young to give consent...period. The law doesn't differentiate b/n genders, society does. We give passive consent for our sons to be sexually active at an early age and we condemn girls for it.

So most people would look at this situation and assume the young man enjoyed the "conquest" of a much older woman. But if it were a 14 year old girl and a 36 year old man people would say the man stole her innocence. Isn't the young man deserving of his innocence?

This is wrong. No way to get around it.
