LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. — Northern Illinois will honor Lincoln Director of Athletics Dianthia Ford-Kee on Sept. 25 and 26 as part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Golden Anniversary celebration.

Ford-Kee and fellow honorees are recognized for achieving the highest possible position in their respective fields.

Ford-Kee graduated from NIU with a master’s of public administration and will be recognized for her years of service to higher education. Ford-Kee spent 18 years at Shaw University (N.C.), beginning as a volleyball coach in 1990 and rising to associate athletic director. In 2008, she took the director of athletics position at Lincoln and is overseeing the school’s transition from NCAA Division III to Division II.

“To be recognized my alma mater for my years of service to student-athletes is a humbling experience,” Ford-Kee said. “I certainly did not expect it. I will always be grateful for the opportunity and role Northern Illinois played in my life. I look forward to partaking in the weekend’s festivities and rekindling old friendships.”

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.

As a result we are coming to you directly for your financial support>
