The Henrico Fraternal Order of Police is standing behind them, because they are saying policing is difficult, made more so by the possibility of being criminally charged while performing their duty.  Basically, they are saying, police officers such be allowed to murder individuals while performing their duty. With this type of logic, there's definitely a need for police reform, especially when it comes to police training.

Which is more reason why there's a need for police reform.  Plus, Black folks in Virginia are different.  IMO, most live a delusional life style. For example, I know this Black female who called her city government (tax assessor), fussing that they incorrectly assessed her property value too low.  She thinks that by making the city reassess her property value at a higher amount that the sell value of her house would be higher.  She didn't know that her property value is how the city determines her property taxes.  In other words, the higher the value of her home, the more taxes she would have to pay.

You are correct, because there's a need to retrain police officers to recognize a threat versus a non-threat.  IMO, the man who died in their CUSTODY was a non-threat. This is similar to the time when Black men in handcuffs were being choked to death while in the custody of LAPD, which led to LAPD's White Supremist Chief (Chief Gates) to come up with this crazy neck anatomy theory as an excuse.  Black police officers receive the same training as White police officers, which IMO has a lot of stereotypical views when it comes to race.

    Now former Central State Hospital employees charged with 2nd-degree murder of Irvo Otieno   


DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. -- Three now former Central State Hospital employees were charged with second-degree murder in connection to the in-custody death of Irvo Otieno.

Darian M. Blackwell, 23, of Petersburg, Wavie L. Jones, 34, of Chesterfield, and Sadarius D. Williams, 27, North Dinwiddie County were taken to Meherrin Regional Jail.

All three worked at the hospital when Otieno died there earlier this month.
