No disrespect but most millionaire's don't drive Rolls-Royce  . I haven't been around millionaires when I was young but we have a physician owned group practice and with equity in the practice most are millionaire. The practice has been consolidated 2 times and each time the docs got a one time payment in seven figures. But I agree most people get wealthy without needing their college majors .Funny in the book "Millionaire next door " the most common vehicle of the rich is ford 150 truck

It depends on the generation. There are flashy people in all groups of life. From the poor to the rich to the filthy rich. There is no way companies like Rolls Royce and other material type companies can sustain a profit off of working class and poor people to make profits for decades. The millionaire next door is true, but for every average millionaire next door there two flashy millionaires spending money on yachts, planes and cars. This why the republican party votes for tax breaks for these types of people.

Rolls-Royce sold 5600 cars last year mostly to athletes and entertainers. There money comes from the engines they build for airlines. Most of the commercial planes we fly in has Rolls-Royce engines

The reason why people get those huge tax breaks is because the tax code favor those who work for themselves. It is that way because years ago when the tax code was formed most Americans had some form of business  . Even today people who own and operate their own business pay a lower tax rate  that is what capitalism is all about

wanna wanna add this just for info. I used to own a SAAB. It was an excellent car  But SAAB really make their money building jet fighters. When I was in Germany in 1986 some air force pilots in England designed a one time model of SAAB called the JET PACK edition  I still have it as a car collection

Dude I swear you waste to much time trying to prove you are smarter than other folks. You aren't the only person with friends with money. Like I said it's a generational thing. You deal with a group that's over 65-70. Totally different area. Different life style. I know what engines planes fly. I am certified in DO-178 standards. I've done contract work for them. Made great money off of them working part time for them. I mean we both can go on and on and quote statistics and yada yada yada but the bottom line is every group of people on earth have show offs. Rich, poor, middle class. Also it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know most folks who have Bentley's and other cars lease them. The rich doesn't buy anything. You can teach Neymar things, but not me. I just didn't graduate college yesterday.  Sold and leasing cars is a big difference. Most new money buy cars. I mean we can go on and on. I'll bow out though and let you have this fight.

SAAB engineers were horrible at cost effective products. They never made profits because they over engineer things and the cost difference could never be made from it. It was the reason the US automakers dropped them when they were acquired.

 I totally agree. I'm glad you see where I was going with this. Folks around here sometimes seem to get of the beaten path when I say chasing the white man's dream like I'm trying to discourage black people from seeking an education. I'm like why would I do that! I have over six degrees myself. Heck I'm from the projects and my education has provided me with possibilities that I would've never dreamed of, but just because I made it to the top doesn't mean I advise others in 2023 with more options in today's society to pursue trying to purse better.

This is true.I visited the one of RR engine plants while  in Singapore. Much more $$ in engine design and deployment and that was from the staff.

There are a plethora of Honor Societies out there. We focus on Phi Beta Kappa because it is probably the oldest and that is what the white man recognizes the most (after all his ice is colder). Most HBCUs have Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society but I guess it's not good enough because it was founded on an HBCU campus. It's odd though to hear some of the same folks who talk about what black folks ought to do for themselves advocate so hard for this.
