Why must we ignore a message because it is not presented in a fashion to our liking. The person admit that he is not and HBCU grad, but Coach Prime introduced him to the world of HBCUs. I thought the goal was for us to grow our brand and he is trying to help.

He wants to know your top 5 HBCUs and why. H wants to visit the campus and do a podcast as a way to help us attract more students. Since he is an “outsider”, his views will be unbiased and fair.  Some of y’all are making feel bad about mentioning NCAT and Howard.  I have engaged quite a few people who want to learn more about HBCUs.  Why not help them learn more?  We are in the social media age and we need to embrace it.

Everyone doesn't know what we know.  I know two Howard graduates who never heard of the SWAC. 

I'm sure if you randomly asked high school students and some HBCU students to name the HBCU with the largest enrollment many wouldn't name A&T. 

Most of you didn't know VUL existed until they started playing football.

We have the wrong mentality when we rank our schools based solely on athletics. The things that really matter are....

1) strength of the academic programs

2) academic offerings

3) academics facilities and resources

4) strength of the faculty

5) academic strength of the student body

6) favorability rate of the students and alumni

7) financial stability

endowment

10) administration

With that said some schools that immediately comes to mind are Spelman, Morehouse, Hampton, Howard, Claflin.... (note all those schools are private)

Tuskegee use to be up there but I have not heard much about them in the last 15 years or so, did they go through a period of instability after their long term president retired?

A&T has really stepped up it's game over the past 20 years. They use to have issues with the nursing  program but that has been resolved. If I recall, Central had some issues with the law school back in the day.

He can ask anything he wants.  He's asking for feedback on the top 5 HBCUs.  He's asking the question because he doesn't know.  This should give you the opportunity to teach him.  Instead, you shoot the messenger when you should enlighten him.

About the video, I give the guy a pass. He started it by stating he was unfamiliar. Unfortunately many African Americans are clueless when it comes to our culture. After integration many spent decades running in the opposite direction when opportunity presented itself. It's our job to educate not berate.

It’s our job to educate if we want to. Most people can smell bull shyt a mile away. These days everybody wants to be a rock star and they will use any means necessary. The days of looking things up in encyclopedias are gone. Google HBCU’s and you can learn about any HBCU in the nation. Don’t play stupid or ignorant. If you’re trying to start a new YouTube channel just say so. People read about the Best HBCU’s every year. Everybody wants to be an analyst, commentator, reporter, breaking news person or whatever. Be more thoughtful and original in your approach.

They don't research JACK SQUAT before hitting the record button
and worse, the information highway, ie, internet, is right at
the tip of your fingers....but thats just my pet peeve.

There is no reason for anyone it to be naive in this world today. Especially when you can literally at the tip of your fingers research information. Let Biden say he is giving out a check and these mofos will know the exact time the Treasury department is putting the money in the bank. They don't know what the Treasury department is but will find out who runs the machine to print the checks name, momma name and shoe size.

What about the ability to bring in research funding?
