Be careful what you wish for…as I recall, there were at least two MEAC schools that disagreed with the conference decision to give up the AQ and send the conference champ to the celebration bowl…neither of those schools are in the MEAC today.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If we can get some deal like the CB, I say bring it back. Some people wants a black college play-off. The winners of the PB and CB battle for the HBCU championship. If the HBCU national champion can make up to 2 million, it would be worth it.

MIght make for a nice double header if thoroughly planned.
People we have not had ESPN and other money behind a D2 bowl game. Plus, it might be on national TV. It is about growing our brand. Do you realize how many times things fail before they finally become successful? The Wright brother didn’t give up because the plane didn’t get off the ground the first time. It is all about timing, and the timing might be now. We can build off the success of the CB. HBCUS are getting more attention and most people realize that we play sports very well. People want to see more HBCU football.

Division II HBCUs are in a different revenue and national aspirations thank our Division I HBCU brethrens. 2) In the SIAC, I would hope and PRAY that we can rid ourselves of a few of the schools. Addition by SUBTRACTION! We have way too many schools and travel to this spread out conference is unbearable for our schools. AGAIN, PLEASE LET THIS PIONEER BOWL IN THE SKY DIE! If it's not making any money nor a plan to generate a compensation that's going to attract both conferences, then keep it right there, IN YOUR DREAMS. that's all...

Neither HBCU division (NCAA Division I or II) makes any money. Neither division makes any money or gets exposure in the NCAA playoffs. The Celebration Bowl and the additional Pioneer Bowl provide our HBCU student-athletes a bowl game experience and a chance to play on national television. I played in the Heritage Bowl and it was a great experience. As a former college coach and administrator, the bowl games are a win. That’s my thought…
