bluedog, I take it that you don't agree with Coach Trei?  If what he said is an opinion, well, he has a right to his opinion.  I mean, you guys didn't even get this bent out of shape over Prime's mess and you are crying about this?  It's just not that serious.
What part of you can stop the constants obfuscating is it that you're not quite getting? You know like constantly bringing up something Deion allegedly said. Like some five-year-old child saying "well he did it" to justify stealing a cookie out of the cookie jar.

Well, you are acting like a 2-year-old.  Let it go.

Well I had time to think about your question about the statement of progression.  Well, one thing I noticed about the SWAC that may cause me to agree with Coach Trei is, y'all season is so long.  We had to wait nearly a month for you guys to crown a champion.  We know things are not going to change because of your tradition.  Sometimes traditions can get in the way of progress.  The MEAC is less traditional than the SWAC.

Well, negroes used to see themselves as being more progressive when their massa's house was bigger than other massa's houses. Like Y and Oldspotty, two individuals who have ties to North Carolina, I hope Coach Oliver doesn't share the same belief that slavery was a benevolent institution. It appears to be extremely hard for some of us to break that slave mentality. :brickwall:

Relics left over from the Confederate South. When I heard him praising Duke and other universities within the Research Triangle for the MEAC being progressive, I realized then he wasn't thinking clearly at all, which is how the psychology of slavery works or the Stockholm Syndrome.

In my younger days, I worked briefly at Virginia State College now university. People were always asking me "how do you like it up herel I had come straight from Atlanta and I would ask them "what do you mean up here". They would say "well it's not the deep south". When a Indian colleague and I integrated a high class restaurant, someone said to me one of us was even seen at ...last night. I said yes, that was me and Sanjay. On a college graduation cruise with my youngest child and only daughter five years ago, a black couple my age from Virginia lanched on to us on a day tour. When I went to get to bottle of bourden at the duty free shop to take to her mother who had been unable to come with us, they said to my daughter, "don't worry hunny, your granddad will not always act that way. It really ticked her off. I told my daughter that I thought that it was the slave mentality which I had noticed when I worked in Virginia. The slaves biggest fear was being "sold down south.I told her it takes generations to go away. I have never thought that I saw it in North Carolina where I moved to from Michigan. I can't speak for Trei, but having coached at Southern, I think that he might been referring to the feeling that the SWAC was superior no matter what the MEAC does. Maybe if Florida A & M or Southern wins the SWAC next year, we might see the crowd that they expected his year. Anyone else from the Swac, forget.

If the Swac don't start winning some if these games, it will lose interest. The best thing for this game is to have the series not be sooooo lopsided!
