Crowds have been going up recently. I would not be surprised if it reaches 40,000 this year.

Let's go Eagles.

If you listen to all the naysayers from the meac when it first started. You would have thought barely 10k came.

Going by the old bowl game, well yes.  Yes, you guys were more right, but you really didn't know.  It's a good game, but we lost a lot of schools.

Boi if you don't git outta here with that "Yes, you guys were more right, but you really didn't know." mess. You only lost two schools because of the CB. You may can say you lost the other two indirectly because of the CB. Because of all the inside under hand shenanigans that those schools were doing in attempt to gain leverage over the conference.

What old bowl game only had 10k and why would anybody except people just being contrary go by it?

The CB had nothing to do with the MEAC losing schools. The MEAC lost schools due to stubbornness. In order to reduce travel cost, no one attempted to divide the MEAC into a two divisional conference. Schools left due to the inept ability for change, which is typical for a lot of us.

Actually my brother Dennis did attempt to divide the conference into division. But as usual  he got push back hard on that by the usual crowd. Because he was "trying to make them like the SWAC." There's like a thousand page thread on that topic over in the "WE DON'T WON'T TO BE LIKE THE SWAC" forum.

Like the old saying goes, "damn if you do and damn if you don't."  Dennis should have pulled the trigger and showed them who was really running the MEAC, but he allowed them to pull a Rick James moment on him by wagging their Johnsons in his face while screaming, "We don't won't to be like the SWAC, biatch!!!"  :lmao:

This was the plan but Winston Salem State and Savannah State decided against the move to FCS.

MEAC North
Delaware State
Morgan State
Howard
Hampton
Norfolk State
North Carolina Central

MEAC South
NC A&T
Winston Salem State
SC State
Savannah State
Bethune Cookman
Florida A & M

Now A&T is waiting on the CAA to announce their divisions.

Reading this post I see that some of you SWAC folks don't know what you are talking about.  We did have a couple of schools leave because they want to compete for a national championship. Most schools wanted to continue to play for a championship, but the money was too much to pass up. You guys wanted the CB more than we did.  Well, you got what you wanted... MEAC 6 SWAC 1   Be careful what you ask for. :snicker  Yes, I think that the CB is better than going to the playoffs.
