Should XP be from 30 yds instead of 20 in College Football

I think it time that we move back the extra point in college from the 20 yd line to the 30.  It might make teams for 2 points more and bring a little more excitement for that 1 extra point.

You mean from the 10 yard line (20 yards) to the 20 yard line (30 yards, the goalposts are at the back of the 10 yard end zone).

I agree for Major College football. For anything lower, I would prefer they leave it 20 yards. I hate to say this, but in HBCU football (FCS, D-II and NAIA), our kicking game seems to lag behind everyone else's. Twenty yards at times still looks like a crapshoot. :tiptoe:

Not until resoruce-limited schools can afford to hire a full-time kicking/special teams coach.

IMO...it's not even about having a FT kicking coach.  Most programs don't have that until you get to the pros....it's getting your assistant coaches to embrace the technical aspects of coaching the position.  It is not that hard!!  You just need one coach to become knowlegedable about it and wrok with the kickers and punters like he would with any other position.  End of the day...make it a priority.

BUT......It's really about finding a kicker/punter to come to our schools.  Especially the smaller ones.

Agree bruh. I can understand the difficulty in identifying candidates who are as interested in our schools as we are them….especially with the focus on such a specialized skill set. Do you cast a wider net for former soccer players for PK & KO Specialists?

We are selling ourselves short.  I would move it back 5 yards it time.  We kickoff at the 35 yd line now.  If you don't like go for the 2 points.
