“An urgent investigation was undertaken into the recent behavior of two team members at Melbourne Airport who were handling customer luggage in an unacceptable manner. As a result of that investigation, these individuals are no longer employed by Swissport,” a spokesman confirmed to news.com.au.

“In addition, we have conducted a briefing of all operations teams to remind them of the high standards we expect and enforce. The unacceptable behavior of a few individuals will not be allowed to tarnish the quality work of our whole team.”

Whenever you fly, look outside the plane and see how reckless they handle your luggage when loading. It's not pretty. If I can carryon only, that is what I do.  Don't get me started with how they lose your s**te. This summer, they lost my luggage going to and from Italy.

Yep! Man I stop buying good luggage. As someone who flies a lot a now buy my luggage from Walmart. These new age workers will destroy your bags. I bought some new luggage back in November of 2021. They've already roughed it up. The airlines don't want to pay you for it anymore either. The process is so long to get them to attempt to pay for it that must folks just charge it to the game.

Yep ceedog, the last time we bought luggage it was from Target and TJ Maxx. No more than $25-30 per bag. Already used them to go to Hawaii, St Kitts, Aruba, Florida…kids took them to college.

Thing is, WHY are you expending extra energy slamming bags when bag handling is what you do all day? Then later complain that your shoulders and arms hurt or are sore?? That's just dumb, dummy.
