So I have a question.........

As many know on this forum, I lived in the South for 24 years, before I moved back to Los Angeles in 2014. During those years (1990 -2014), I don't remember Buc-Cees. However, I've noticed on my trips back over these past 7-8 years, they're all up and down the interstates. So, when were they created? It's kinda like how I used to see Ryan's and Shoney's all the time, but now when I'm in the South, I don't see them anymore.

By the way, I'd still rather live in California, after having lived in Texas for a few years.

All I know is that it started in Texas.
I had never heard of it until last year when they opened up here in Georgia.

As far as gas stations go, I have never seen anything like it.
Makes me want to just say "...they also sell gas"

How to describe BucEe's? Better to just show you.

as they say, everything
BIGGER comes out of Texas!   ;D

From what I saw when I went to Texas is that they are different in that they sell beyond grocery store items like deer meat (jerky) and other delicacies. They are always super busy wherever we stopped at one.

Too, they've expanded into Florida, Daytona Beach, I believe.

They tried to open one in Orange county here in N.C., but the locals kicked them to the curb.

They just opened one up in North Alabama in Athens off of I-65. I'll check it out when I get a chance to go fishing to see what the hype is all about.
