Great first half by the Americans.

A VERY VERY VERY poor Wales makes adjustments in the second half, and US shat the bed.

This is a bad US team. Its hard when its not beating up on El Salvador in some central American shanty town eh?

England is going to destroy this team Friday.

Nice goal by Weah. His dad was one of the best Players I ever saw play. Shame his son has to play next to a bunch of low IQ spoiled American kids.

And can the media please STFU about this squad doing anything. All week I have heard nothing but how much better this rag tag group of nobodies is than Wales.

Is wales full a bunch of old has beens? Yes, but the fact that they are full of has-beens means they were once something.

The US side is full of a bunch of nobodies, and never gonna be's.  Pulisic, the so-called best player in the team, shits the bed with my team every weekend. Most of the time he doesnt even play because the manager knows if he goes out there you are going to get lazy, soft, and uninspired play.

Weah, whose dad was a great player, doesnt play at all in France.

A bunch of nobodies riding the bench in europe are automatically good? Dont make me laugh.

This team did VERY good in holding on to this draw tbh. Wales was on that ass at the end, and should have won if US didnt play like cowards and foul every second.

If Wales didnt suck they'd have been stomped behind that second half performance.

They play like that friday and we're looking at a cricket score.

They play like this against Iran and even they will beat them.

You do realize that in the USA, there's very little interest in soccer? It's much higher than it was 20-30 years ago, but our best athletes are NOT participating in the sport at this point still. So, no one cares, for the most part, how the US team did against Wales.

You think those were Wales best athletes?

Wales is a rugby country.

Wales hadn't made the WC in 65 years and darn near beat the US. That whole "not our best athletes are out there" excuse is rubbish.

I don't know. But what I DO know is in the US, soccer falls way down the list for interest by young people. So, by default you DO NOT get the best athletes to participate. I've known a few guys who played soccer as a little kid, only to switch over to football and basketball by the time they're in 6th grade. Other countries, soccer is AT LEAST the second most popular sport. Here in the US, it's probably 20th.

Again, all you need to do is look at the media coverage about today's game, and that will tell you how much people care. ::)

unlike a lot of other countries, america's best athletes don't play soccer.  that's why the usa men struggle internationally.  whereas the usa women don't have that problem, unlike the usa men, some of the best female american athletes do play soccer which is why the women are far more successful on the international level...

US soccer problems are more nuanced than that is my take. The travel team system weeds out poor and many Black and brown kids from entering the ladder to even get a sniff at professional soccer.

i dunno, i coached youth soccer in prince george's county and we had a lot of black kids.  but most of them gravitated to other sports like football and basketball as they got older.  girls generally don't play football, so its more likely that they will stick with soccer than the guys.

in the usa, i don't think the luv for soccer exists like it does for football and basketball.  and that's primarily because the men (who get more exposure than the women) have never been "world championship" caliber like the women.  to me, all it would take for soccer to blowup in the usa is for "the men" to win a world cup championship like the women have done several times...
