Indianapolis Colts??
« on: November 07, 2022, 01:10:03 PM »
You fire your head coach and replaces him with a former Colts player and ESPN analyst? What in the high school coaching is the owner thinking?

that's all...   :brickwall:

This going to be interesting listening to the talking heads explain this bovine feces. You have more qualified brothers out there coaching in the league and this dude rolls in from ESPN & some private high school and became interim head coach….

Yeah, that s**t makes perfect sense to me.

^^^yeah, agree with both of you bruthas.  I'm sick of this bullschitt.  I just happened to catch the ending of the LA Rams at Tampa Bay game yesterday, and saw Byron Leftwich, TB's OC, engineer Tom Brady's game winning touchdown drive in the waning moments of that game.  And then those two boys embrace in an intense bear hug at the end celebrating the way that drive was executed.  And my thought, then, is why is not a brutha like Leftwich a head coach in the league right now?  And this announcement today by the Colts is just one example.

They hire as "interim head coach" a mofo whose TOTAL coaching experience is 3 yrs at an OBSCURE parochial school located in an equally OBSCURE hamlet in Georgia.  And then these mofos have the NERVVE to say that black coaches are given a fair shot in the league. I'm trying not to get mad about this stuff because I have high blood pressure and AM on daily medication.  But this kind of bullschitt F's me up.  >:(

…………..this article says it all. The reason there aren’t black head coaches in the NFL, REMOTELY comparable to the percentage of black ballers in the league, is because billionaire owners like Mr. Irsay are uncomfortable and do NOT want negroes being the head coach of their franchises……………….FULL STOP!!!

No need for extensive analysis and discussion. It REALLY IS as simple as that.

It will continue to happen as long as the players allow it. The players have to come together and organize unlike ever before. It will require a sacrifice that most are not willing to make for the future gen of blk Hcs.

I really like Jeff Saturday. He is great analyst and seems like a genuinely good dude. With that being said, this is white affirmative action. Nothing has changed yet you have the Supreme Court about to limit opportunities for black people.

:o……….uhhhh, bruh, you are easily one of my absolute favorite posters on this board. But here must AGGRESSIVELY push back on your analysis. Naaaah, boss, hiring this whiteboy is NOT an example of “white affirmative action”. There currently is no dearth of white NFL head coaches and dude doesn’t have baseline qualifications for the job. This is good ole fashioned cronyism, the good ole boy network.

Was watching ESPN Sportscenter this morning, and the young white gal hosting the 6am (CST) hour stated, ironically, she had Saturday booked this morning to analyze this past weekend’s games. So the analyst who DID sit in this morning was a dude whose last name is Graziano.

When asked why Mr. Irsay hired a dude with virtually ZERO qualifications as an NFL coach, the response was “familiarity”. Dude formerly balled for the Colts. And Peyton Manning has been quoted about what a great guy dude is and that their lockers were right next to each other when they were both on the Colts roster. So wtf does that have to do with dude’s qualifications to be head coach of the Colts?  Answer: NOTHING!!!

So how da phuck are bruthas going to be given a fair shot as head coach if the REAL qualifications are that you must be a good ol’ whiteboy?

Strike, I'm sure CU1994 meant "White affirmative action" as in "White privilege."

Black ownership is the easy answer.

???.......well, CU is one of those posters who certainly doesn't need an "interpreter" on this board.  But I'm not sure if even the term "white privilege" is apropos to this situation.  But, on reflection, I guess maybe I can't be TOO harsh on Irsay about this situation.  He has hired TWO negro head coaches in the past, Tony Dungy and Jim Caldwell, and that's a whole lot more than the "average" NFL billionaire owner.

Correct, I should have said white privilege. The assumption is that affirmative action means unqualified which is far from the truth. This is a shinning example of white privilege. Notice Old Sport, Y, and Neymar are silent while they had comments about affirmative action being reviewed in the court.

Earlier Strike mentioned no black owners…assuming he meant majority owners as the Broncos have a few with Sir Lewis Hamilton and a few others. Separately, am hearing that Jay Z is in a group trying to buy the Washington Commanders, along with Jeff Bezos. If true, they will be interesting.

I wonder if he will be flopping pancakes down in the meeting hall.  Wow you have a lot of great candidates for a team that could make the playoff if they got a roll.  I don't understand how a coach like Jim Caldwell never get a call or interview.
