We had Groove Phi Groove on the yard in the late 70s.  Since freshmen couldn't pledge my boys and I formed our own frat called Drunk Phi Drunk.

Glad to meet my founders. 🤣 We kept it going in 89 but way of John's corner store. 🤣 Red dagger and Colt 45 proudly crossed us. 🤣

Steady diet of Private Stock and had to hit up Stroh’s when the  funds ran low….

There was also a Chevron station by Greenetrack that sold draft beer in a gallon milk jug….with solo cups for the road….

Like Ol Edith & Archie sang….those were the days….

Hadn't heard that name in a long time. Sold as wine but should have been in the hard liquor section back in the day. The staples of any good AAMU party, grain alcohol mixed with Kool-aid, Red Dagger, MD 20/20, Thunderbird, and Boone's Farm for the ladies and lightweights. On the block yelling D Phi D

86-90 - I don't believe so.  I do remember seeing a few Groove Phi Groove members in paraphernalia around campus.  Never saw any Swing Phi Swing members.

I started A&T in '84.  Finally graduated in '90.  Pledged Pershing Rifles in 1986.  There were G Phi G on the yard in '85.  I believe there was an underground line.  Somebody kept their stage plot (very choice real estate - flat concrete slab) right across from Williams Cafe, well kept and painted.  At one point and time, the dean of students, after the Que line debacle, wanted to get their plot but was somehow sat down politely and it did not come up again.  Finally, as I was the P/R Commander, we had a pledging / probate meeting with the dean as non-greek organizations.  There was a member of G Phi G there.  Never seen him before or since, but he was there.
