86-90 - I don't believe so.  I do remember seeing a few Groove Phi Groove members in paraphernalia around campus.  Never saw any Swing Phi Swing members.

BFL, I still never know when you're being serious or sarcastic. Anyways I am a Lifetime member of Groove Phi Groove, SFI. There are several others on this message board as well.

Anyways your inquiry couldn't be better timed as this week we are celebrating our 60th anniversary. We kicked things off by donating $60,000 to Morgan State during their homecoming this past weekend. We are a very small but effective organization these days. Most of our growth is now on the graduate level and we've expanded internationally with chapters in England and Ghana where we will hold our 2023 Conclave. I see where Wikipedia lists our membership at 60k but realistically I'd put it closer to 6,000. Some of our more notable members:

Rep. GK Butterfield - NC US House of Representatives. Chairman CBC 2014 - 2017

Earl "The Pearl" Monroe - NBA Hall of Famer

Donnie Shell - NFL Hall of Famer

JYD - WWE Hall of Famer(RIP)

William Bill Hayes - Former HBCU football coach and athletic administrator.

Richard Huntley - WSSU - 6,286 yards HBCU alltime leading rusher

Hassan Riddick - Pass rusher extraordinaire - Philadelphia Eagles

I remember them in the AUC during the 80's. We had two dudes on campus at A&M who were Groove but they were transfers from NY. I think they attempted to start a chapter but it didn't take off if I recall. We also had a MLK organization on the yard when I first got there in 89 but they died out too. We had the Pershing rifles, and A phi Que also. Don't know if they're still up on the yard. I don't keep up anymore

Yes I remember Groove Phi Groove and Swing Phi Swing on TU yard back in the 70s. I always thought they were some of the coolest and hippest sisters and brothers on campus then. Their organization was quite visible and strong. At one point I even considered pledging...but that's a whole different story. Continue the good work Grooves and Swings. :)

During my Skegee tenure, they were dudes from the east coast (Philly, DC, New York, Boston) and upper
