1.  Virginia Union - 3.00
2.  Benedict - 2.50
2.  Jackson State - 2.50
4.  Ft. Valley State - 2.42
5.  Langston - 2.30
6.  NCCU - 2.00
7.  Albany State - 1.92
8.  W. Virginia State - 1.33
9.  Hampton - .80
10. Tuskegee - .75

I thought this was a math thing.  We beat Albany State.

Albany State - 1.92
Florida A&M - .33

How can a 4-2 team can go from 1.58 to .33.  Please explain.

OH MAN!  While researching your question I see another obvious goof I made.  HC drag + A G E Disease got me lunchin.

That said, Albany is the only team you beat with a winning record.  Getting housed by JSU at home drags you down as well.

That was an away game.  We play JSU at home next year in Bragg Memorial Stadium, Tallahassee, FL. NCCU played NCAT 2-3, WSSU 0-5 and VUL 0-6 and you got them 2.00.  New Hampshire is the only team that NCCU beat with a winning record (4-2).

NCCU was beat by SCSU with a non-winning record.

Though not played on campus, I think you'll agree Miami is a LOT closer to you than Jackson.

???......forgive me, sir, but what you state here is actually INCORRECT.  Tallahassee is almost equidistant between Jackson and Miami, but Jackson is actually CLOSER to Tallahassee than is Miami.

The Florida peninsula has one hell of a coastline, especially on its Atlantic Ocean side, from north to south.  Tallahassee was chosen as the state capital of the Florida territory because at the time a capital was established, Tallahassee was almost equidistant between the then other two major cities of the territory: Pensacola and Jacksonville.  Everything south was considered untamed "Indian country".

Hope this helps.  :)

You know, when I read OldSchool Rams' comment that said Miami was closer, something clicked in my mind immediately. Having lived down there (SW Florida) for a year and a half in the 90's, I remember thinking, "Tallahassee is a LONG way away from here!"

And then I look the other way from Tallahassee to Jackson and see that that distance looks about equal. It's interesting how people don't realize how far up North and and West the state of Florida actually runs, especially since it curves and then runs waaaaay down South.

FM^^^in addition to what you state, the culture and climate are different between, say, Tallahassee and Miami as well.  My hometown of West Palm Beach is only about an hour's drive north of Miami.  I learned MORE about the civil war while an undergrad at FAMU and living in Tallahassee than I EVER did in the 12 years of schooling in WPB.  People speak with a Southern "drawl" in North FL, not so in South Florida.

And the climate......bruh, I never knew what a winter wardrobe was until I was an undergrad.  Had NEVER in my life experienced winter high temperatures NOT rising above the 40's.  That was an extreme shock for me.  And saw snow for the first time in my LIFE my freshman year when Tally got about half an inch.  When I first saw the light flurries falling from the sky, the other South FL kids and I thought it was "pollen".
