BTW:
Also saw earlier, WSSU at ECSU, but I forget which channel.

Texas Southern v. Southern, I dipped after the half.

Didn't expect to see ANY hbcu's on tv today so it was a nice treat while also checking out other games.

a little bit of this one and a little bit of that one.

My attention span gets shorter and shorter.

carry on.....

Meh, Morehouse had plenty of chances to make this a close game. Since they never got the ball in the end zone, with numerous opportunities to do so, the bigger Howard team just wore them down in the fourth quarter. Make no mistake though..................................Howard wasn't very good.

Ivan, for sure.  We continue to make too many mistakes on the field and BLOW chances for a TD.  But what else is new.

NO SCORE the entire first half of the game is very telling.  After the half, I think our guys just really gave up.  ::)

The game hit a home run on and off the field. The tailgating outside to the scene in the stadium.I was in the suite section and let me tell you it was a sight to behold.

I use to go to the Whitney M. Young Jr. Memorial Football Classic  game annual.  The first game was Grambling and Morgan State in 1971 in Yankee Stadium.  The Classic went to Giants Stadium after Yankee Stadium.

I watched in CNBC. I was pulling for Morehouse to keep it close.  Howard players did appear to be much bigger than the Morehouse players.

Yes, it appeared to be quite the social event. However, it would be a better event if the game was more competitive.

As I said in another post, Howard may be better than you think. I would not be surprised if they beat Yale and Harvard in their next two games. It was 0-0 at half. When you are the underdog, you just don't have your half time announcer throwing shade at the other team. The attendance was 35,000. They will grow from there.

I attended the Nation's Classic every year they had it. I was a bit surprised it didn't grow more than the 25,000 initially. There are several HU and House alums in the DMV. I guess there's not much to do in DC versus NY. I know for me I wasn't about to waste my gas and money driving up to see two terrible teams.

that's all...

Howard is investing money in its program.  Teams like Howard and Morehouse have high academic standards. You are trained to be captains of industry not captain of the football team. It ain't easy getting into those schools
