I will support the team and staff for the entire season  then an evaluation should be made of the staff and AD. Southern has a bad habit of hiring someone's uncle cousin

Nepotism has always been a big problem for us.  I'm not a master play caller, but I can see at times when a program lacks basic academics, which hinders the development of student-athletes to become better athletes. Weird suits and cool dancing will not get.  Someone has to help these kids by telling them the truth of where they are lacking so that they can strive to improve.  It's not that hard when someone with the right aptitude of having the totally package can dissect each individual and explain to them what they are doing wrong.  Come game time, all the coach needs to do is have a game plan to counter the opponent.

I made my displeasure about this hire known from day one. Because I've seen so much of this nonsense up close i can't commit to putting myself through this agony the entire season like Ken. I've seen enough football to know when I'm looking at a contender and we are not a contender. I voice my displeasure at them having us ranked so high and predicting that we would win the west. At the risk of sounding arrogant. I'm an astute fan of Southern University and the game of football, not an ignorant fanatic that's delusional about where his team is in the pecking order of things. That helps nor serve any good purpose.

It's definitely frustrating to watch the political shenanigans that go on at our beloved Alma Mater.  We have yet to use any academic achievements to their fullest potentials and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to dissect AND FIX the problem. IMO, the last Black coach who had the complete package retired from an HBCU in Greensboro, NC.  I think his retirement was due in part to the shenanigans he witnessed and endured year after year, especially when he coached at a school in Louisiana.

I follow LSU because of my sister and my twin nephews. LSU will probably upset a few teams this season.  Mississippi State was a huge favorite over LSU.  I think Brian Kelly realizes the talent that he can recruit at LSU, which is one of the reasons why he left Notre Dame. Plus, $10 million a year is a lot of money for a coach. In a year or two, they probably will be one of top teams in the SEC again.
