SIAC Football 2008
« on: August 13, 2008, 02:21:06 PM »
Who will wear the SIAC football in 2008?

Just something to contemplate before the conference kickoff on 8/23.

The SIAC kickoff pick will be posted on Friday that is if the SIAC
Cats, Billy Goats, AL Bears, CanTucky Mules, and Limping Lizards want to participate for the 2008 season.

I'm thinking either Albany State or Skegee.

Giving the edge to Albany State this year!

Would love to see a surprise team win the crown this year, too.

Could it be......okay...lets just wait and see.  ;)

Jay T...... Skegee didn't loose that many from last year plus they had one heck of a recruiting class.  Idunno bout your assesment.  You know what they say to be the man.........

On another front your Tigers should raise a few eyebrows this year.  Looking in my crystalball I see you guys sluggin it out with Fort Valley for second place that is if Coach Clark doesn't "coach up" for Skegee.

Maddog, I surely hope we do the dayum thang this year;  that 7-3 finish got me even more excited....and the Maroon Tigers should have beat FVSU last year...but ain't no columns for "should have"   ;D

When it comes to Skegee and Albany State....IONO!

I think Mohouse will be better this year, but not quite enough to overcome the Golden Tigers. Coach Slater say that he expects to put up a few more points  on the scoreboard this year. That's frightening isn't it since we averaged 44 points per game last year.

 BD, go piss on a campfire!    ;D and you forgot, its MOEHOUSE - you and my dad, crack me up!

But, I do expect an improved team from last year. I always measure how well we do by the SIAC Big 3: Skegee, FVSU and Albany State. I think we could have beat Albany State last year and we definitely should have beaten FVSU [shoulda coulda woulda] but the game against Skegee last year was just....UGLY.  I expect us to be more competitive this year against my Grandaddy's Golden Tigers...how competitive?  Well,  Imma just wait and see, mane.  ;)

I will take on that role if no one else wants to step up.  The first week pick for the game on 8/23 will be posted later today.
