Reginald Ruffin retiring from coaching after season

Six months after taking over as director of athletics and head football coach, Tuskegee University’s Reginald Ruffin says he’s taking off one of them very soon.

Makes sense. He’s got some pretty big plans for Tuskegee and being the HC of the football team probably takes up a lot of his time.

Looks like they are going all in on that move to D1. Just have to see who the second team will be.  It’s great to see an administration make an aggressive plan and act fast on it.

Smart move for Coach Ruffin!

1. In a modern day collegiate athletic department, it’s humanly impossible for one individual to be an Athletics Director and a head coach of a sport!!

2. Considering the scope of the plans, his very aggressive schedule to get this completed, and the funds necessary to cover facilities, additional sports, and scholarships, he needs to be on this 24/7, and not part time.

We good & thanks for the interest.
