The CIAA is not the NBA.
The CIAA has to be careful not to create a tournament the simply rely on the older fans to attend. This move out of North Carolina is doing that. They need to keep it in North Carolina where most of the students are. They need to be trying to get new student fans for the future. At some point you have to plant news trees to continue to have fruit.Just saying!

Charlotte blew it with low ball negotiating. That's their fault. The CIAA went after the best deal. Don't think we'll have money in 3 years for CIAA. The city just announced $275 million proposal to renovate the Charlotte Hornets’ arena and build the NBA franchise a new practice center possibly across the street where the bus station is currently located. Then it will be time to build the Panthers a new state of the art football/soccer stadium for the Panthers/Charlotte football club. Not the mention with the deal falling through between the Panthers and the City of Rock Hill SC, the Panthers may want to look at land to build their new headquarters within the city. With all of that and other building projects and growth within Charlotte and Mecklenburg County there may not be enough funds to offer more for the CIAA to return.
