The CAA in my opinion

Agreed...I'd have to go with the CAA on that question.

There's no question that it's the CAA.

In football the CAA has produced multiple national champions and runner ups.

In basketball VCU and George Mason both made their Final Four runs while members of the CAA.  For years the CAA was a multiple bid NCAA tournament basketball conference.

About the only claim to anything that the Big South has is that Coastal Carolina baseball national championship a few years ago.

Also, the totality of the academic quality of the CAA schools is higher than the Big South schools.

Is Hampton going to the CAA?

Harvey has to be grinning  to ear to ear. The CAA teams are going kill the Pirates in football.

Anything to distance themselves from HBCU conferences.

Oh well. Not my monkey, not my circus.

Harvey has been trying to get Hampton into the CAA for the last 25 years. He finally gets his wish.

If that is what they want then good for them but, they will find out fast that being associated with a specific conference does not improve your product. If they don’t have the resources or infrastructure to compete at the CAA level on a weekly basis, it will only go from bad to worse.

What is more prestigious conference, the CAA or Big South?

Without a doubt the CAA would be the more prestigious conference. In fact I don't think anyone would ever associate the Big South as prestigious.

Basically they are proving the old saying in our community.  That some black folks would bend over backwards to be at the bottom in white folks company. Then be seen as equals or at the top of their own.

Oh the irony.... smh...

The basketball teams in the Big South are totally different than the football teams.

Shhh, but with Hampton and the "football schools" leaving, the conference is unstable and on the verge of collapse
