The CIAA is definitely doing it right. If they can add a few more schools they will definitely be a premier D2 league across the board.

A very good idea and addition, maybe West Virginia State too.

Add Central State University.
???? Is there enough travel distance difference between the CIAA and SIAC to warrant this move?

The CIAA doesn't want Central State.

Que, I believe most of the CIAA schools are further away from
Central State than the SIAC schools especially VA NC and SC.

It wouldn't make any sense for Central to change from the SIAC to the CIAA. They still will have long travels to deal with regardless of which HBCU conference. Bluefield the the CIAA makes perfect sense. WE all know that Chowan has been flirting with leaving anyway. Show them the damn door and let Bluefield replace them. Simple as that.

Chowan is already gone (Conference Carolinas) except football.

Bluefied State defeated three CIAA schools (ECSU, Livingstone, and JC Smith) this football season.

My bad. It was two CIAA games.

When talking about travel we focus on football because that's the most expensive team to move.  Spring Hill is nonfootball.  While they may have football Edward Waters might not see them but once in a blue moon unless the coach likes going to Jacksonville.  Tuskegee hasn't played Benedict since about 2010. Going to ECSU is a little shorter than Edward Waters but not enough to change conferences IMHO.  Other the that the distances are about the same.

You got that right. I don’t believe that would ever be a serious consideration for us. The SIAC travel is tough enough as it is.
