I am going out to eat by myself.  I dont want to be in a crowd with family, as my immune system is so compromised.  I will be eating salmon and barbque ribs, brocoli.

I just have never cared for over roasted. Even as a child. Once I got turned onto frying turkeys in 1999 I haven't cooked it any other kind of way except smokes. Some folks can oven cook them and they are juicy, others dry them out. 😂 My mother use to cook Hens for Thanksgiving so I can of got use to those also unless we went to my grandma's house.

I only eat turkey fried. I will eat a good smoked one, but not oven cooked.

care to explain issue on oven cooked?

Bourbon Vanilla Cider Cranberry Sauce

I just saw this on Twitter. Might try it on myself before serving it out during the holidays. I’ll substitute the sugar with honey.

Que82,

What Temp and time on that slow oven cooked?
I have cooked it at about 220 for about 8-10 hours. (1 normally let it cook overnight) I make sure the pop-up turkey timer is out and the internal temperature is 160-165 degrees. I normally used an aluminum pan and put a little water in the bottom.  I would thoroughly encase it with aluminum foil.

Haven’t completely decided if we are smoking it or following our trusted Bobby Flay roasted Turkey recipe.

That sucker is getting brined this morning in preparation

PLEASE EXPLAIN THE BRINING PROCESS.  I HAVE NEVER TRIED IT.

Now you want someone to do your research.

LET ME MAKE THIS AS PLAIN, DIRECT AND AS SIMPLE AS I KNOW HOW.  I DO NOT LIKE YOU OR RESPECT YOU.   I DO NOT CARE TO ENGAGE IN ANY TYPE OF DISCOURSE AND EXCHANGES WITH YOU.  SO AS NOT TO BE ANY MORE UNPLEASANT THAN I HAVE TO, I SIMPLY WILL NOT RESPOND TO ANY OF YOUR POSTS AND I RESPECTFULLY REQUEST YOU DO THE SAME FOR ME.
