It doesn't taste like liver.  Depending on who makes it it can be mildly spicy.  I like it at breakfast with eggs.  Sometimes I'll add it to grits.  Here's a link that states what's in liver pudding and a few other pork staples.  https://neesesausage.com/product/liver-pudding/

I prefer Neese's.

Y'all making me HUNGRY.

I used to work at a small newspaper in Lanham, MD, 10-15 mins from Bowie in the late 90's, and there was a Diner owned by former Washington Capitals hockey player Rod Langway. Right next to it (or it may have been attached to Langway's,  I can't remember) was the diner, which was very small, but the main cook ( I cannot remember that sweet lady's name to save my life) knew she could cook her ARSE OFF. The beef Liver and onions she made...my goodness. Then she would smother it in beef gravy with mashed potatoes and more gravy, and a side of buttered broccoli??? WHHHHHOOOOOOOOO

I miss that spot.
Lanham, MD..while attending the FBI Academy, I visited this restaurant, Chesapeake BAY Seafood House. I found some of the best variety of seafood.

Yeah, Chesapeake Bay Seafood House was the joint back in the day. I think they've been out of business for a while now. Or they may have a stray location somewhere in Virginia. I can't remember exactly.

Yes it is. It's high in iron but eating it regularly is not good for you.

I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TODAY.  WHILE OUT DOING SOME CHRISTMAS SHOPPING I DECIDED TO TRY AGAIN IN MY QUEST FOR CALF's OR BEEF LIVER.  I FOUND AN AMPLE SUPPLY TODAY AT THE REDSTONE ARSENAL, ALABAMA COMISSARY.   MY WIFE PROMISED TO PREPARE SOME FOR TOMORROW EVENING.

Love liver and onions.  No gravy.  Properly prepared liver does not need gravy.

Also, like liver pudding.
First and only time I will agree with y.

WHY?

Liver is fatty and high in cholesterol. If you have hypertension it's not good for your blood pressure. That's what my doctor told me. He said it's good for people with low iron though.
