Dr. Belton and few other folks with the Bayou Classic Committee took a tour of the $450 million renovations currently taking place in the Superdome.  I'm sure they are selling them on those field level suites.

As of now, here's an architectural rendering.

With the expansion of Harrah's Casino (new hotel) and it being renamed Ceasars Casino, New Orleans is beginning to look like Ceasars Palace New Orleans. With the renovations to the Superdome, Louisiana is definitely keeping New Orleans a viable Superbowl city for years to come.  I'm sure Ceasars would love to have the naming rights for the Smoothie King Center (Pelicans Arena) and the Ernest Morial Convention Center.  In 30 years, I'm sure they would be talking about building a new stadium to replace the Superdome.  I get the feeling the next stadium will be somewhere next to or near the riverfront. Although they had some problems in constructing a hotel in New Orleans, the Hard Rock, Inc. is still trying to restart another hotel construction.  New Orleans is definitely a major sports, convention, and tourist destination city.  I think it is one of top cities with the most hotel availability in its central business district.
