A former Fox exec blasted the network for peddling Trump's election-fraud claims and airing anti-mask comments...

QUOTE
In an op-ed published Sunday by The Daily Beast, Preston Padden, who served as president of network distribution at the Fox Broadcasting Company for seven years, wrote that Fox News is a TV channel "that no reasonable person would believe."

Padden wrote that Fox News had perpetuated former President Donald Trump's "wild and false claims" that the 2020 election was stolen from him and that Fox's decision to question masks had contributed to "the unnecessary deaths of many Americans" during the COVID-19 pandemic.

And, CLEARLY, #3TimeLoser45 bears responsibility for hundreds of thousands of deaths in the USA.

His recorded call with Woodward demonstrates he knew how serious COVID was - from almost the beginning, but...

He panicked and punked out because he knew a bunch of his supporters were/are anti-vaxxers.  He thereby undermined his own positive efforts to speed up vaccine development.

Took his own vaccine shot in secret for the same reason.  Rather than serve as an example to his supporters and help save their lives, he chose to suck up to the very small minority who question science, hate and threaten Fauci and believe in unfounded conspiracies.

He's a despicable and dangerous excuse for a human being.

The other networks are no better by continuing to book guests on shows who believe the Big Lie.

This is true, but other networks have a responsibility not to amply these people and their ideas. But ratings supersede common sense.

Aside from crap like OAN, who has seen these denizens of deception spouting their nonsence on the networks....?

I have not, unless it's a rare Repub congressman on CNN, who is then grilled by the host.

Do you watch the Sunday morning network shows?

Chuck Todd even took heat for saying MSNBC is justified interviewing the Big Lie brigade.

Thanks, Devin.

I don't watch the "Sunday Morning Liars" as much as I used to, so - as you imply - I may have missed a lot.

But,...
I suspect I am starting from a different premise than most who have commented.

My earlier comment (re: being "grilled") described what Todd does:

QUOTE from the story you shared
On his show, Todd said, election deniers can either accept that the 2020 election was legitimate or face a difficult interview.

Todd recently called out Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw (Texas) over the issue. While Crenshaw voted to certify President Biden’s win, he also backed a lawsuit challenging the election in several states.

“Why should anybody believe a word you say if the Republican Party itself doesn’t have credibility?” Todd asked Crenshaw.
UNQUOTE

My premise is: THAT is exactly what should be done.  Most of the GQP don't have the guts to go on his show (and others) because they can't handle the tough questions.  And they will be exposed as the cowards they are.

It seems that some other posters feel that these cowardly cretins should be banned.

I disagree with that approach, but would be interested to read why others think that's a good approach from a tactical viewpoint in the context of electoral politics...

Does Todd push their message or debate it?  Those shows are for entertainment so to have a differing opinion is not a bad thing IMHO.  Normally when I see Todd he is dismantling their comments and not pushing them off as the truth.  No ratings, no job.

The point is that networks shouldn't be giving these people a platform to offer a "differing opinion" especially since their specific opinion has been refuted and disproven over and over again for months now.

If it’s all one sided reporting, is that good or bad?

The goal should be accuracy and truth. That's the only side that matters.
