$80 million sounds reasonable for a 30k stadium.

They're going to need a little more than that for a FBS 30,000 seat stadium.

Considering all that blight and deserted buildings in the proximity. It will be hard to find a location.

I don't think FBS is in the SWAC's near future.  It's probably like in the next 10 to 15 year.  ASU's stadium seats about 26k and it costed approximately $65 to $70 million.  I'm sure JSU will make sure the stadium would be easily expandable when necessary.  Also, there are few FBS programs with a stadium just over 30k, such as ULM and LaTech.  Tulane's new stadium only seats 30k.

The seating is not want I was questioning. I'm aware of plenty FBS stadiums that size. My questioning was whether the $80 million was enough to get a very nice 30,000 FBS facility.

If engineered and designed properly with the right people in-charged it is enough. Construction cost is what needs to be kept in-check.  Contractors love projects that they can milk and run up cost with change orders.

JSU AVERAGES OVER 30K no way they will want to drop to JUST AT 30K for their new stadium.

Okay, but I'm sure they'll raise their ticket prices to something of the norm.
