The University of Oregon's student government voted to end financial contributions, by way of student fees, to the athletics department. They want the money used instead to help students who are struggling financially.

Exactly. Oregon can afford this. For our schools, that’s nearly the entire budget.

that fee is honestly not bad at all. but it should have been looked at a reduction during this pandemic year.  if the average student was asked to pay out of pocket for a game ticket the student sections of many stadiums/arenas would be empty.
