If he takes this job we will never hear from him again. He has to decide if the money is more important than being the king. He will open himself up to better offers if he continue to win at FAMU. FAMU ship is not sinking so why jump prematurely?

King of what, the SWAC? Do you think will be offered a HC job in the G5 or P5 if he wins in the SWAC title?

If he were to leave. Do you think McNair would be a target to replace him?

:)..........well, looks like our guy is staying. No doubt the decision reflects Coach Simmons strong desire to give Deion Sanders the proper “introduction” to the conference that he “deserves”.  Sorry, haters.   ;D

???^^^seems like it’s the other way around, doesn’t it? I detected a bit of “nervous” energy underlying your post. I would be nervous too when you consider, beyond all the hype and bluster, the sum total of my coach’s past “experience” was as an offensive coordinator at a non-descript Texas high school.

If you sced say you sced.   ;D

Strike:  Do you really believe there are SWAC schools that are afraid of FAMU? Funny, nobody in the MEAC was scared of FAMU...

Well Good I'm glad that he is staying at FAMU. Coach Simmons is a great Coach. I had a chance to meet him in person two years ago when FAMU had their National Alumni Convention in Birmingham in 2019.

???......Big GREY^^^I think that there is likely some “nervousness” among the JSU faithful for the reasons I just cited in response to DRUMMA. Beyond that, the Rathlers will hold their own against Swac competition as the Rattler fan base is certainly familiar with JSU, SU and Grambling. And, “old school” Rattler fans, like your humble poster, are acquainted with the two Alabama schools. So it should be interesting.

Btw, which Swac school do you rep? It’s not easily discernible from your screen name or avatar?

Or are you simply a Swac “groupie”?   >:(
