So God called Deion to fix HBCU football?
« on: January 13, 2021, 11:38:06 PM »
Deion Sanders isn't in the NFL anymore. He's not even at Florida State anymore. He's in the SWAC, where he's discovering that all football programs are not created equal.

Sanders addressed the media at SWAC Media Days Wednesday for the first time as Jackson State's football coach. The NFL and college football Hall of Famer was asked about his first impressions about coaching in the SWAC at a historically black university, and Sanders said the big adjustment is realizing that Jackson State doesn't have the resources the major power players in college football do.

"The playing field is horrible," Sanders said. "It's not a level playing field. It's unacceptable. Thank God that God called me to change the game, to open their eyes, to open the door. Not just for Jackson State, but for everybody."

I'm sure Tuscaloosa College taught him how to fix HBCU football programs even though they do not have a football program but a nice size band.

I love what he is saying and doing. If he didn't say anything there would many of us that would complain... maybe even me. It takes people like him to make things happen. Now all we need is others to join his movement. I love what's going on in the SWAC and JSU. Count me in on his/their bandwagon.

We cry that we don't have enough resources but too proud to ask for help and rather accept the Nature of things. Well it's time for us to get up and ask for Help. And this is what Deion is doing is sending the SOS signal to the World for HBCU Football on both levels.
