Nice show, but I still don't understand multiple drum majors for small bands or even for large bands. Only one person is needed to start the band's performance, beyond that it's just an extra auxiliary act.

JAG89, I totally agree with you on that.

I questioned why our band at Da'House added a 4th drum major and we barely have 4 members out on the field playing instruments. It looks ridiculous to me....and our band is smaller than FVSU's. 

Honestly, I don't even know WHY we have a band program.  ::)

We've actually had as many as 1 to 4 drum majors throughout the course of the Blue Machine Marching Band. The size has fluctuated at times and the largest being 2004 & 05. I've never been a fan of a lot of unnecessary auxiliary when your band is already small. Hell, pick up an instrument.
