Per News and record- Joe Sirera

I believe our Coach has a plan unlike some of our past coaches.

"Most of the time during the year against a team like Illinois we probably wouldn't run as we did tonight, but we wanted to play our style. I didn't try to slow the game down. I wanted to try to get better at what we do, and what we do is run. In the second half, once we settled down a little bit, we were able to play in transition and play our style."

Negatives: "We have to find a cohesive group. That's why I played as many guys as I could. We tried to get the new guys at the post position some chemistry. Some of Kam's mistakes were things that he doesn't usually make in games. Illinois has great size and great length, so they gave us some problems, especially inside."

On whether the quick turnaround to Thursday's game is a good thing: "It's a great thing. I didn't want to show a ton because really and truthfully the game tomorrow is a much more even battle. ... I think we're ready to go."

No disrespect Aggie Law but that was a hot mess. I didn’t plan to watch but turned to it because the Prairie View game was at the half. I was aghast at what I saw. Illinois was good  but they they weren’t that damn good. The transfer from NС State knees buckled because he was terrified of the kid trailing on what should have been an easy dunk. One of my homies called me 15  minutes into the game clowning me because he knows i have love for the Aggies. SMH

I don’t even want to mention Del State. I turned to that and they looked like  :brickwall: I truly think I could get some burn for them

What you said is true 81AlphaEagle. NCCU has a small team to play at this level.

No disrespect taken. We are not on their level and may never be a BigTen caliber team.

Totally agree. The thing that bothered me most? When you are out manned and out gunned why continue to play an up tempo pace?

Anyways I'll be patient and hopefully things will get better by mid-season.

Ok, perhaps Illinois is that good? They are up by 61 on Chicago State right now.

The game isn’t televised  but the Aggies are clearly playing much better today. Down 35-34 to Ohio at the half. You have to give them props. A loss like yesterday can be demoralizing.

But didn’t someone post that the Aggies had enough talent to not get embarrassed. Don’t get mad at me I’m just reporting what I read.

Howard played without who will be their starting guards. They might run through the MEAC and and a few other teams. They may really be a problem  nationally next year. I had no idea Maker can put the rock on the floor and has a mid-range game.
