Man, we don't need this type of news right now.  NSU may need to stay put until these uncertain times have past.  Who knows, we may get others to join.  Maybe it's me, but it doesn't sound like they are making a move to leave, just having their options in please in case they need to.

Only a 1.8 million dollar shortfall is great considering the current circumstances.

It looks like they are just examining their options, much like every school in FCS should be doing.  It's much more likely that they decide not to play sports in the spring.  I don't view the information presented as a 'vote' to leave the MEAC.

Correct.  These jokers don't do enough to know that Bishop Kim Brown is not a SHE.

Thomas and the conference leadership needs to put their plan out to the members so they will feel comfortable. This isn't a good article

All our schools are doing some serious thinking. In fact every school in America is doing some serious thinking.

"Bishop Brown stated that NSU will remain sensitive to try to remain in a football playing conference. Football and basketball are the two sports that are the lion’s share of NSU’s budget. The Board may have to make some difficult choices before the 20-21 athletic year ends."

Putting everything in context, this was the response to a question regarding the MEAC.

"In response to Ms. Blunt regarding if the MEAC crashed today, what would be the options
for NSU? Bishop Brown stated the options that are available include:
• Back up to a lower level conference membership.
• Realigning with conference memberships on the same level that we are already on.
• Soliciting schools that will quickly align with us in the MEAC."

B4L, this isn’t clickbait. “Weighing Options” doesn’t equate to “Leaving the MEAC(?)”

We all have a tendency to look at potential bad news about other schools as them being the only ones that it can happen to. The reality is that "All" our schools were barely making it before this virus. Trust me, your school is also looking in their wallets and weighing their options. If the very wealthy bigs schools are struggling, why would you think our schools aren't? s**t getting ready to hit the fan for a lot of us. Just wait and see.
