.................interesting.

Look, no doubt this 60+ negro grandfather can step up his style /swag factor. But am not particularly impressed with homeboy^^^being the paragon of style for the older gentleman.

Dude looks and dresses like pretty much every common negro male I see walking the streets of Nashville.

He had some good points ,that to me were common sense and some that I could take a pass.

The suit portion was a given , but sadly fewer men in society are wearing them anyway.

I was never a leather jacket guy ,but I think that is something that doesn't age well.As a sneakerhead I disagree with the athleisure portion. What he failed to mention was the price of those leisure sneakers can run from $600 and up depending on the brand. Wearing $900 leisure sneakers and short shorts is more of a no no than the latter. Major fail on his part for that.
I'm an old sneaker hear with a decent collection of classic Jordan and literally have had people want to buy my shoes off my feet when out and about. Wear what you like and what's comfortable.

Totally agree on the untucked dress shirt, which I never did .The look is sloppy and lazy. The brand t shirt was interesting .I wonder if frat t shirts are in that realm.? I have alot of t shirts for frat, sci fi and sports teams I like plus organizations I belong to like the VFW and American Legion. I tend to wear them to the meetings or out and about. I don't wear shirts with social messaging.

As you age your circles age up and  your habits change as well. His .presentation appears to be of an older single man trying to catch the eye of a younger single woman .That will get you laughed at an dismissed no matter how well you dress and adhere to social norms they will laugh behind your back and text their friends and say "Someone come get their grandpa".

If you are in reasonable shape and not morbidly obese, stay away from the leisure suit ,sandals and blue-tooth always in your ear fashion statement , you ok .

My 2 cents. :tiptoe:

I'm dying laughing at this part. Because, I have seen so many men try to fit-in with the younger crowd. Because, they want to feel young again, or going through a mid-life crisis.

This is an interesting video.  While I'm not going to lose sleep over it, I do tend to favor guys being thoughtful and intentional about the way we look.  Steve Harvey suits, bluetooth in the ear, looking like a 90's rapper in 2020 just screams "I don't give a damn" whether you are the single guy at the club OR someone who just wants to look his best.

Except  for the sneakers, I pretty much agree with everything  he said. I do lean more to classic suits because they never go out of style. You got to have a body to look good in some of the modern cuts. I totally agree with the tees with "text" and slogans, an older person look silly in that stuff. Also you don't need "Polo" plastered across your chest. A person with a good eye will know you have on quality regardless.

I can say that "dressing up" has pretty much gone out of style with some of our younger generation.I still believe a suit and sport jacket is a foundation for a wardrobe. Also a well dressed man in a suit or uniform always catches a woman's eye. Anything after that in on your and your ability to express yourself.

Never cared for "dressing up".
If capitalism is so great, why does it need to be bailed out by socialism every ten years?

Man I love wearing suits.  I used to get them tailored all the time when I was in the military.  Now I just go to K&G and then get them altered.   I was thinking about putting on a Steve Harvey suit, get me a new pair of Stacey Adams wing tips, take my badge, go to J's house and ask her what color is that black box.

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.
