Yes. I’m pretty sure this will be the norm going forward.

Or something similar. Listening to our BOT meeting this afternoon, the chair said the results of a study poll of students across the country showed that 48% of students are considering attending local community/state colleges or are planning to seek online universities that offer a full curriculum of courses. Universities are going to have to come up with some innovative ways to get students back on campus once they've been used to virtual learning, and parent get used to not being so much out of pocket sending kids off to schools.
If capitalism is so great, why does it need to be bailed out by socialism every ten years?

I wonder what effect this trend will have on requirements for scholarships.

I'd imagine a  freshman English class along with Algebra would weed out those not ready within a semester or two.

Mamba blood forever.

It all began nearly 20 years ago...

Here's an excerpt from a new documentary on the SAT featuring former UC System President Richard C. Atkinson when he proposed in 2001 to phase out the SAT:

Students aren't coming back on campus.  HBCUs that want an on campus presence will be left by the wayside.  HBCUs need to develop a Liberty plan and significantly increase online classes.

In the fall of 2019, UC's nine undergraduate campuses admitted more than 107,000 students. Of those admissions:

African American, 4%
Latino, 24%
Asian American, 30%
White, 21%
American Indians 0.4%

Percentages of Latinos and African Americans are larger in the California population as a whole and advocates say UC admissions should reflect that.

I know, why the African-American numbers are low.  :tiptoe:

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.
