    • Jackson State University Selects Jackson State as SWAC Preseason No. 1
« on: February 13, 2020, 07:12:50 PM »

JACKSON, Miss. –, a highly-regarded intercollegiate baseball publication, has selected Jackson State as its pick to win the SWAC East Division and capture the conference championship and be the SWAC's automatic berth in the NCAA tournament.
The Tigers finished 2019 with a 31-24 overall record and 15-9 mark in conference play.
JSU's Nikelle Galatas was also recognized as the SWAC Preseason Pitcher of the Year after finishing the 2019 campaign ranked seventh in the conference in earned run average (4.13 ERA), fifth in opposing batter average (.237), first in innings pitched (93.2), second in batters struck out (74), and fourth in total wins (6). The first team was represented well by Jackson State as Jaylyn Williams was selected as the first team all-conference third baseman, Wesley Reyes at shortstop, Equon Smith in the outfield and Chris Prentiss as the designated hitter.
Galatas and Mario Lopez were each named to the second-team with Galatas being named as a starting pitcher and Lopez as a reliever.

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.

As a result we are coming to you directly for your financial support>
