Joe Biden is Launching ‘HBCU Students for Biden,’ Pledges $70 Billion to Schools.

The Joe Biden presidential campaign is creating a new initiative to engage the younger, black voting constituents by focusing on historically black colleges and universities with “HBCU Students for Biden.” The campaign announced that three students, one from Texas Southern, one from Spelman College, and one from Claflin University, will serve as co-chairs for the initiative.

“Joe Biden has always been, and continues to be central to civil rights activism and social justice, and produce outstanding young leaders. … The campaign is proud to have student leaders on HBCUs across the country organizing and volunteering for our campaign, and their strength will help us win the nomination and beat Trump,” campaign aide Kamau M. Marshall said to BuzzFeed News.

^^^well, at least it’s more often than the GOP who are NEVER interested in the plight of black folks and our institutions.

But spotty’s comment DOES raise an interesting question for me. Is Joe just finding out that HBCU’s have been underfunded virtually since our collective inception, for many well over 100 years ago???

Joe represented Delaware in the US Senate for, what, 35+ years? During his tenure, did he ever walk around on Delaware State’s yard and compare/contrast their facilities with what he observed on Univ of Delaware’s yard?

Three days before the official federal holiday commemorating his birth, MLK would be likely stunned to discover that almost 52 years after his death, negroes in this country still have not adopted a national agenda. Instead, pausing, as we do every election cycle, to see what white folks gonna do for us.

But, hey....We shall overcome SOMEDAY.    :(

Well, the Republicans appear to never be interested in Black folk.

Yeah Black folk don't seem to have a consensus national agenda.

Just cause you say it don't make it true. I think you are factually and historically wrong about the Democrats.

The Dem-O-Rats only want your black asses for votes. They could give a flying f... about Black folk. Oh, they're willing for a few K----s to get political title and not a damn bit of power... That's about it.

Again, just cause you say it, don't make it true. Of course, the Democrats want the Black vote. I'm  sure the members of the Congressional Black Caucus-which overwhelmingly consists of Democrats -- cares about Black people, your angry rhetoric notwithstanding.

Also, lets not forget that Democrats did nominate a Black man for President, and he was reelected.

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.

As a result we are coming to you directly for your financial support>
