I GENERALLY AGREE WITH HIS ASSESSMENT.  HOWEVER, I HAVEN'T SEEN ALL OF THE FOREIGN MOVIES YET (EXCEPT "PARASITE") AND I THINK "KNIVES OUT" WAS A MONUMENTAL WASTE OF TIME.

"THE IRISHMAN" WAS THE BEST PICTURE FOR 2019 THAT I SAW.

I really like Amazing Grace and Endgame.

FROM YOUR LIST I GOTTA SEE, "QUEEN & SLIM".  I MISSED IT IN ITS INITIAL RUN. "HARRIET" WAS EXCELLENT.  ONLY WENT TO SEE THE "STAR WARS" FINAL EPISODE, SO THAT I COULD SAY I SAW THE ENTIRE EPOC.  I WAS A BIT DISAPPOINTED.  I GUESS I AM JUST GETTING OLDER 'CAUSE MOVIES WITH A BUNCH OF KINETIC AND CONCUSSIVE EXPLOSIONS,  GRATUITOUS BLOOD LETTING AND EXCESSIVE PROFANITY JUST DON'T APPEAL AS MUCH TO ME ANY MORE. I'M NO PRUDE, BUT I JUST NO LONGER ENJOY MOVIES WITH PROFANITY INSERTED IN THE DIALOGUE FOR NO LOGICAL REASON.  I PREFER MOVIE DIALOGUE THAT APPEARS LOGICAL AND RATIONAL AND APPROPRIATE FOR WHAT IS BEING DEPICTED ON THE SCREEN. AT TIMES PROFANITY IS LOGICAL AND NECESSARY FOR A CERTAIN SCENE.  OTHER TIMES WHEN PROFANITY IS SO OBVIOUSLY FORCED AND UNNEEDED, IT JUST SEEMS LAME TO ME.  GOING TO SEE "BAD BOYS FOR LIFE" TOMORROW AND I HOPE I AM NOT DISSAPOINTED.

THE BEST MOVIES FOR ME NOW ARE THOSE THAT HAVE INTERESTING STORYLINES, UNPREDICTABILITY, ONES THAT MAKE ME THINK, ONES THAT MAKE ME PONDER, ONES THAT CHALLENGE ME AND ONES THAT MAKE ME WANT TO DISCUSS THEM AFTERWARDS.  I NEED FEWER EXPLOSIONS AND BODY PART VISUALS.  I NEED LESS PROFANITY ESPECIALLY WHEN IT SEEMS FORCED AND FOR NO OBVIOUS REASON.  I NEED A MOVIE TO CHALLENGE MY INTELLECT. I NEED A MOVIE TO CAUSE ME TO DO ADDITIONAL RESEARCH ON MY OWN TO CHALLENGE ITS VERACITY. I NEED A MOVIE TO SCARE ME, INSPIRE ME, SURPRISE ME, MAKE ME CRY OR EVOKE SOME TYPE OF EMOTION.  I THINK THE VERY FIRST MOVIE I SAW THAT TRULY CHALLENGED AND EVOKED REAL EMOTION IN ME WAS "THE CRYING GAME" FROM 1992 WITH FOREST WHITAKER.   IF YOU HAVE SEEN IT PLEASE DO NOT SPOIL THE FINAL EXPOSITION, FOR OTHERS.

AFTER SEEING IT NO AMOUNT OF MERE EXPLOSIONS OR PROFANITY WAS EVER GOING TO SATISFY ME AGAIN.

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.

As a result we are coming to you directly for your financial support>
