2,500 unsold Bison playoff tickets “concerning” NDSU official says

The university says a lot of factors can play into the amount of tickets being available for games.

“Encourage people who may have not been to a game to use this as an opportunity to get a ticket because you just never know when they come available and how many will be available. So, to have this number is at some level concerning, but at the same time a great opportunity for fans who haven’t been to a game,” NDSU Senior Associate Athletic Director External Operations Troy Goergen said.

 Yesssiirrr, I would love to have that problem. I wonder if the fans are so tired of dominating the FCS that they are eager to move into the FBS realm?

Nothing to brag about really. They are the only show in town. There are no University of Alabama and Auburn's to recruit against. No UAB, Troy St, University of South AL. Not to make the other 5 FCS schools and 6 D2 schools we have to compete against for recruitment. Just saying.....

I don't think they can get into a conference. Only thing close to them is the Big 10

I see where you’re going and I get it, but they recruit all over the country.  It’s not exactly easy to convince a kid to play in North Dakota - the championship allure gets them there and they aren’t winning with kids for North Dakota and the Pacific - their kids come from FL, GA, TX, MO, IL, WI etc.

No kids from AL though.  The state of AL does a good job of keeping their kids in house and poaching kids from GA.

It’s just their time.   GA Southern was dominant at one time, Troy was dominant at one time, UNA was dominant when they were DII - it’s just NDSU’s time.

Others will get their shot soon.   GA Southern is trying to mount a comeback.  We will see how it goes.

Maybe you didn't comprehend what I was saying. All of the states resources go to them. They don't have a professional team. The whole state supports them. They are the biggest show in town. Who else in the state are they competing with? All of the big rich folks in North Dakota put their money into NDSU.

The population of North Dakota is 760,077 compared to 4,888,000 in Alabama. That's about half the size of metro Birmingham. They have the University of North Dakota and two DII schools to compete against for talent. Its not like the states located around them are large either. Its cold as heck in North Dakota and their are very few brothers to pick from.

Oh.   I didn’t understand.  Forgive me Suga.   :kisses: You’re right.  NDSU is to North Dakota what Bama is to Alabama, except they don’t have Auburn, Troy, Jacksonville State etc.  I understand completely now.

I was thinking recruiting and not money.  You’re right.  They get all the money.   Even Bama has to compete with Auburn a lil bit.

Off topic, I was at the casino in Wetumpka last Saturday while the game was on, and baby it was intense in that mug.   The Auburn folks were dancing their behinds off and those Bama fans were sad as hell.  I loved it!  😂😂😂😂
