With the renewed interest in HBCUs, now would seem like a good time to revive the Pioneer Bowl (A d2 version of the Celebration Bowl) Perhaps there is an enlightened sponsor or three to assist in bring back the game.

With the renewed interest in HBCUs, now would seem like a good time to revive the Pioneer Bowl (A d2 version of the Celebration Bowl) Perhaps there is an enlightened sponsor or three to assist in bring back the game.

They attend games in D1 FCS but attendance in D2 isn't great. The only time D2 HBCUs have good crowds are homecomings and big rivalry games. The Pioneer Bowl never did great with attendance. That is why the game was cancel.

They have to change the business model. The sponsors for the Celebration Bowl are more concerned with TV ratings than attendance.

I TAPED THE GAME ON ASPIRE TV. (AND WILL WATCH IT LATER TODAY.) THEIR COVERAGE OF CIAA SPORTING EVENTS IS A BARGAIN AT ANY PRICE AND THEY HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB FOR YEARS NOW.  DON'T MISS THE CIAA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT ON ASPIRE TV IN FEBRUARY!!
