Jerry Springer is annoyed with President Donald Trump.
The "Judge Jerry" host, 75, said the Twitter name-calling and tabloid-like news of Trump's administration were influenced by his long-running talk show, "The Jerry Springer Show."
"The thing that annoys me about Trump is that he took my show and brought it to the White House," Springer said Monday during an interview with Build Series. "I’m annoyed. I should get paid for that, shouldn’t I? Hey, get your own show!"
He continued: "We get what we voted for, or didn't vote for because we didn't show up. And that's true of the White House and it's true about entertainment shows. It's why what we call reality television is so prominent."
Springer – who dabbled in politics himself after unsuccessfully running for Congress in 1970 and serving as mayor of Cincinnati from 1977 to 1978 – added that he would "vote for a ham sandwich" over Trump. "And I don't eat pork," he joked.
